Austrong Group Joint Stock Company (“Austrong”, “we”) respects and protects the personal data of visitors to austrong.com.vn (“you”). This policy explains what data we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have over your data.
This policy applies to the whole austrong.com.vn website, in both its Vietnamese and English versions. Personal data is processed in accordance with Vietnamese law on personal data protection. In case of any discrepancy, the Vietnamese version prevails.
1. Data we collect
Data you provide
When you submit a form on the website (Contact, Request For Quotation, Distribution System, the footer form or the quotation pop-up), we may collect:
- Your name, phone number and email address;
- Your company name and role (homeowner, project owner, architect, contractor, distributor…);
- Project information: project type, floor area, products of interest, province/city and project address;
- Your request, notes and any files you attach (drawings, photos, documents);
- The dealer you chose to contact (if any).
When you apply for a job through our Careers page, we receive your name, phone number, email, message and CV.
Data collected automatically
- Technical information about your visit: IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, time of visit and referral source;
- Data from cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
The website does not require an account, does not sell products and does not accept online payments. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data. Please do not send information such as ID numbers, bank details or health information through our forms.
2. How we use your data
- To receive and respond to your requests for advice, quotations, technical support, warranty and complaints;
- To connect you with a suitable Austrong distributor or dealer in your area for quotation, supply and installation;
- To process job applications and arrange interviews;
- To send you information about Austrong products and programmes where you have agreed to receive it;
- To analyse website traffic in order to improve our website, products and services;
- To measure the effectiveness of our online advertising;
- To prevent spam and fraud and keep the website secure;
- To comply with our legal obligations.
3. Sharing your data
Austrong does not sell your personal data. We only share data to the extent necessary with:
- Austrong distributors and dealers: when your request requires a quotation, supply or installation in your area. Partners may only use the data to serve that request and must keep it confidential under their agreement with Austrong;
- Service providers to Austrong: customer relationship software (MISA AMIS CRM), website hosting and email services;
- Google and Meta (Facebook): through the analytics and advertising measurement tools described in Section 5;
- Competent authorities: when required by law.
Some service providers (such as Google and Meta) may store data on servers located outside Vietnam. Any transfer of data abroad is carried out in accordance with Vietnamese law.
4. Storage and retention
- Data from contact and quotation forms is stored in the website administration system and Austrong’s customer relationship software for as long as needed to serve your request and provide customer care, for up to 3 years after your last contact, unless the law requires a longer period;
- Attached files (drawings, photos) are stored in a dedicated folder that cannot be browsed publicly, and are deleted together with the related request;
- CVs are not stored on the website; they are sent directly to our Human Resources email. HR keeps applications for up to 2 months to consider you for suitable positions;
- Website analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in Google Analytics.
When the retention period ends, or when you request deletion, your data is deleted or anonymised.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Austrong uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Run the website: remember your language and make sure forms work correctly;
- Analyse usage: Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the website (most viewed pages, traffic sources…);
- Advertise: Meta’s Facebook Pixel helps us measure and show Austrong ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have shown interest in our products.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some website features may then not work fully. You can also:
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on;
- Manage ads from Meta in the Ad preferences section of your Facebook account.
6. How we protect your data
Austrong applies appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect personal data, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser and the website;
- Access to customer data restricted to responsible staff;
- File type and size checks on uploads, and blocking of code execution in the upload folder;
- Limits on form submissions to prevent spam.
No system is completely secure. If an incident causes personal data to be disclosed or lost, Austrong will remedy it and notify the authorities and affected individuals as required by law.
7. Your rights
Under applicable law, you have the right to:
- Be informed about the processing of your personal data;
- Give, refuse or withdraw consent to the processing of your data;
- Access your personal data and request corrections;
- Request deletion or restriction of processing, and object to the use of your data for advertising and marketing;
- Lodge complaints, file lawsuits and claim compensation as provided by law.
To exercise these rights, email contact@austrong.com.vn or call +84 904 662 600. Austrong may ask you to verify your identity before handling your request and will respond within the time limit set by law. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
8. Children’s data
The website is intended for businesses and adults. Austrong does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we find that we have received a child’s data without valid consent, we will delete it.
9. Links to other websites
The website may link to third-party websites and services (Zalo, Facebook, YouTube, Google Maps…). Austrong does not control and is not responsible for how these parties handle data. Please read their privacy policies.
10. Complaints
- Send your complaint about personal data to contact@austrong.com.vn or call +84 904 662 600, stating the issue and your contact details.
- Austrong receives the complaint, investigates, identifies the cause and takes corrective action.
- Austrong informs you of the outcome within 30 days of receiving your complaint.
If Austrong is found to be at fault, we will compensate the actual damage incurred in accordance with the law.
11. Changes to this policy
Austrong may update this policy to reflect changes in our operations or in the law. The new version takes effect when it is published on this page, with the update date shown at the top of the page.
